ENTERPRISE EQUIPMENT REVIEW

HPE equipment recycling and ITAD

Submit HPE enterprise equipment for an independent buyback, ITAD, reuse or recycling review. Include exact models, quantities, condition and configuration so the hardware can be assessed alongside data and removal requirements.

Complete ProLiant configurations, Synergy or Apollo systems with supporting assemblies, enterprise storage and Aruba networking may qualify after review. A chassis with missing nodes or interconnects should be described as incomplete rather than valued as a complete platform.

LAeCycle is an independent equipment evaluator and is not affiliated with or endorsed by HPE. Product-family names identify equipment only. Purchase, pickup and processing options depend on the confirmed inventory and project scope.

Mixed enterprise servers, storage and network hardware prepared for equipment review

HPE product families to identify

ProLiant and modular compute

ProLiant DL/ML, Synergy and Apollo systems with compute nodes, chassis and interconnects identified.

Enterprise storage

Alletra, Nimble and Primera systems, controllers and expansion shelves.

Aruba networking and components

Enterprise switching, wireless hardware, adapters and system-specific component inventories.

Strong candidates for independent evaluation

Complete ProLiant configurations, Synergy or Apollo systems with supporting assemblies, enterprise storage and Aruba networking may qualify after review. A chassis with missing nodes or interconnects should be described as incomplete rather than valued as a complete platform.

Recycling, ITAD or buyback?

Purchase is not guaranteed. Manufacturer, model, generation, configuration, condition, quantity, location, logistics and current demand determine eligibility. Equipment without resale value may still be considered for reuse, parts recovery, ITAD or responsible recycling.

Equipment buyback

Qualifying current enterprise assets may be purchased after inventory and market review. Purchase is not guaranteed.

IT asset disposition

Coordinate removal, inventory control, reuse, potential value recovery and recycling under an agreed project scope.

Secure data destruction

Request NIST SP 800-88–aligned sanitization or physical destruction by punching or crushing, with documentation when included.

What affects HPE equipment value?

Manufacturer and model

Complete manufacturer names, model numbers and part numbers identify the equipment and its generation.

Configuration and capacity

Processors, memory, storage, modules, licenses and installed options may affect value.

Condition

Working status, service history, completeness, cosmetic condition and visible damage are considered.

Quantity and accessories

Matching quantities, rails, power supplies, modules, trays and accessories may improve project value.

Location and logistics

Pickup access, loading, packaging, distance and scheduling affect project costs.

Current market demand

Final value depends on age, resale potential, secondary-market demand and transportation cost.

Not every asset has resale value. Equipment that does not qualify for buyback may still be eligible for reuse, parts recovery or responsible electronics recycling.

Prepare your HPE inventory

  • Record the HPE model, product or spare number, quantity and installed configuration.
  • Map compute modules and interconnects to the chassis they belong to.
  • Identify storage controllers, shelves and all installed media.
  • Confirm authorized release of management credentials, enrollment and any transferable entitlements.

Data security and project records

Inventory server drives, array media and management configuration separately. An HPE platform can include storage in both compute nodes and shared infrastructure. Agree on chain of custody, sanitization or punching/crushing and the reporting scope before dismantling a mixed system.

Serialized inventories, Certificates of Data Destruction, environmental reports and Client Portal documentation are available when included in the confirmed service scope. Tell us which records your organization requires so the processing and reporting plan can be agreed in advance.

Review data-handling options

Coordinate removal and transport

Describe rack positions, chassis weight, shared power and interconnect dependencies. Qualified personnel must confirm shutdown and disconnect responsibilities; de-racking or removal of heavy modular platforms requires an agreed access and handling plan.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

What HPE equipment can I submit for review?

Examples include proliant and modular compute; enterprise storage; aruba networking and components. Complete ProLiant configurations, Synergy or Apollo systems with supporting assemblies, enterprise storage and Aruba networking may qualify after review. A chassis with missing nodes or interconnects should be described as incomplete rather than valued as a complete platform. Provide exact part or model numbers so the actual generation, configuration and condition can be evaluated.

Is LAeCycle affiliated with HPE?

No. LAeCycle independently evaluates used HPE equipment and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the manufacturer. Product-family names identify the hardware under review. A model appearing on this page is not a guarantee of purchase, manufacturer support or acceptance of every configuration.

What information should I include with my equipment list?

Record the HPE model, product or spare number, quantity and installed configuration. Map compute modules and interconnects to the chassis they belong to. Include quantities, condition, location and desired timing. Keep credentials, sensitive records and device contents out of the request; the team needs hardware and logistics information for the initial assessment.

Can data handling and documentation be included?

Inventory server drives, array media and management configuration separately. An HPE platform can include storage in both compute nodes and shared infrastructure. Agree on chain of custody, sanitization or punching/crushing and the reporting scope before dismantling a mixed system. Serialized inventories, Certificates of Data Destruction, environmental reports and Client Portal documentation are available when included in the confirmed service scope. Tell us which records your organization requires so the processing and reporting plan can be agreed in advance.

Can pickup or freight be arranged?

Describe rack positions, chassis weight, shared power and interconnect dependencies. Qualified personnel must confirm shutdown and disconnect responsibilities; de-racking or removal of heavy modular platforms requires an agreed access and handling plan. Availability and any service fees are confirmed after inventory review.
