SERVER AND INFRASTRUCTURE RECYCLING

Server Recycling and Secure Data Destruction

LAeCycle helps businesses, data centers and organizations retire servers, storage systems and network equipment through coordinated pickup, secure data handling, IT asset disposition and responsible electronics recycling.

Enterprise servers, storage systems and network equipment prepared for recycling

ACCEPTED EQUIPMENT

Server and Infrastructure Equipment We Process

Rack and Tower Servers

Enterprise rack-mounted, tower and pedestal server systems.

Blade enclosures, server blades and related modules.

Storage Systems

NAS devices, SAN arrays, storage shelves and backup appliances.

Network Equipment

Switches, routers, firewalls, access points and telecom hardware.

Power Equipment

PDUs, eligible UPS battery-backup units and related power-distribution equipment. Large systems and battery quantities may require advance review.

Server Components

RECYCLING OPTIONS

Choose the Appropriate Server Disposition Service

Electronics Recycling

For obsolete, damaged or low-value servers that no longer require detailed tracking, data services or remarketing review.

IT Asset Disposition

For reusable assets requiring serialized inventory, defined data handling, reporting or potential value-recovery evaluation.

Data Destruction

For hard drives, SSDs, backup media and other data-bearing devices requiring secure sanitization or physical destruction.

PROJECT PLANNING

Server Pickup for Businesses and Data Centers

Server projects may range from a few disconnected systems to larger infrastructure refreshes and data center closures. Smaller quantities of accepted servers may also be dropped off at either LAeCycle location during regular business hours.

Free pickup may be available when the collection includes at least 10 combined servers, desktop computers, laptops or computer monitors. Once the minimum is met, additional accepted electronics may be included.

Rack removal, specialized labor, restricted access, freight, data destruction and documentation may be quoted separately. Power-down and electrical or network disconnection responsibilities must be confirmed before service.

Have reusable systems? Review server buyback and ITAD qualification.

PROCESS

How Server Recycling Works

  1. Request Server Service

Provide the location, equipment types, estimated quantity, access details and required services.

  2. Confirm the Project

We confirm scheduling, site access, equipment-removal responsibilities, data handling, documentation and any applicable fees.

  3. Pickup and Processing

Our team collects the approved equipment and directs it through the confirmed recycling, data-destruction or ITAD process.

  4. Receive Documentation

When included in the service scope, equipment records, Certificates of Data Destruction and environmental reports are made available through the Client Portal.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Server Recycling Questions

Do you recycle rack-mounted and blade servers?

Yes. LAeCycle processes rack-mounted servers, tower servers, blade systems, storage equipment and associated server components.

Can you remove servers from racks?

Server removal from racks may be included after the equipment, site access and labor requirements are reviewed. Power-down and electrical or network disconnection responsibilities must be confirmed before service.

Is server pickup free?

Pickup may be free when the collection includes at least 10 combined servers, desktop computers, laptops or computer monitors. Rack removal, specialized labor, restricted access, data destruction and other requested services may be quoted separately.

Can you destroy server hard drives and SSDs?

Yes. Secure sanitization and physical destruction are available for eligible server hard drives and SSDs. Certificates of Data Destruction and serialized media records are available when included in the service scope.

Do you provide serialized asset reports?

Yes. Serialized reporting is available for qualifying ITAD and server-recycling projects when requested and included in the approved service scope.

Can reusable servers be evaluated for value recovery?

Eligible servers may be evaluated for reuse or potential value recovery based on age, configuration, condition, ownership and device restrictions. No resale value or financial return is guaranteed.
