FAQs

Do you provide electronics recycling for accounting and CPA firms in Los Angeles?

Yes. LAeCycle provides electronics recycling and scheduled pickup for independent CPAs, accounting firms, tax-preparation offices, bookkeeping companies, payroll providers, and corporate accounting departments throughout Los Angeles.

Is free electronics pickup available for accounting firms?

Free pickup may be available when a project contains at least 10 combined qualifying desktop computers, laptops, servers or computer monitors. Other accepted electronics may be included after the qualifying minimum is met. Special access, labor, distance, data destruction and documentation requirements may be quoted separately.

What accounting-office electronics do you recycle?

We accept computers, laptops, monitors, servers, printers, scanners, network equipment, office phones, tablets, UPS systems, hard drives, SSDs, backup media, cables, and other accepted office electronics.

Can reusable computers be evaluated for resale or value recovery?

Eligible reusable equipment may be evaluated for potential resale or value recovery. Value depends on age, condition, specifications, market demand and removal from device-management or activation systems.

Can you schedule pickup outside tax season or regular office hours?

Yes. Tell us about tax-season restrictions, office hours, building access and required completion dates when requesting service. Scheduling depends on availability and the project scope.

Can you help with an accounting-office move or closure?

Yes. LAeCycle can coordinate electronics removal for office moves, closures, storage cleanouts, and equipment upgrades. Tell us about the quantity, deadline, access conditions, and required data-destruction services.

How do you handle computers containing tax and financial information?

Data-bearing computers and storage devices may be eligible for secure sanitization or physical media destruction. Tell us about your security, chain-of-custody and documentation requirements so we can confirm the appropriate service.

Can you destroy hard drives from retired accounting computers?

Yes. Secure sanitization and physical destruction options are available for supported hard drives, SSDs and other storage media. Witnessed destruction may also be available for qualifying projects.

Do you provide Certificates of Data Destruction?

Certificates of Data Destruction are available for qualifying destruction services. Confirm serial-number and reporting requirements before the project begins.

Should we erase our computers before recycling them?

Back up any records your firm must retain, sign out of accounts and release devices from Intune, Windows Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, Jamf or other management platforms when possible. If equipment will not power on, ask about physical media destruction.

What information should we avoid submitting through the pickup form?

Do not submit Social Security numbers, tax returns, banking information, passwords, client documents or other confidential financial records through the pickup form. We only need information about the equipment, location and requested services.
